The Mobility & Materials business is currently looking for anEMEA Demand Manager f/mbased in Meyrin (Switzerland).

This position will do both demand planner (for 2 product lines) and demand manager role in the EMEA region.

Main responsabilities
  • Lead overall demand management process execution in the region.
  • Manage the activities, performance, development, and capabilities of demand team.
  • Create and maintain differentiated forecast strategy for their line of business and region.
  • Accountable for identification, prioritization, and aggregation of all sources of demand in their Line of Business to support business planning, IBP and supply planning.
  • Understand market environment, trends, including leading indicators, and the impact on the demand plans for the business.
  • Ensure resources are available and processes are in place to provide updates to the multi-view forecasting process.
  • Accountable for the development, documentation, and maintenance of the assumptions supporting the demand plan. With the demand planner, challenge the sales and marketing assumptions as appropriate.
  • Approve Demand Plan and product mix forecast developed by Demand Planner.
  • Identify issues and decisions and alternate scenarios regarding the Demand Plan.
  • Lead and facilitate the Demand Review Process of the Integrated Business Management Process - Review demand plans (Volume/Value); Review market and product intelligence; Integrate new & change product and strategies plan.
  • Lead discussion of demand in the Integrated Business Process (IBP) meetings.
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of what-if scenarios (simulations) to resolve demand/supply imbalances.
  • Accountable for monitoring the demand plan performance by measuring actual vs. planned performance for product family and product mix (bias, demand forecast error) and ensure implementation of root-cause corrective action to facilitate improvements.
  • Change Agent for Demand Management improvement by reinforcing Best Practices.
  • In collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager, manage rules for abnormal demand, supply issues (including constrained supply), and customer requirements that are outside the capability of the supply chain to deliver. Responsible to Approve Demand Supply change Requests.
  • Facilitate long-term (3-5 yrs) demand planning to support the long-term business planning.
  • Maintain open, honest communication with multiple functions including sales and marketing, finance, and supply.
Job Requirements

We look for an experienced profile with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of demand planning and/or demand management, ideally graduated of a Bachelor or Master degree.

To be successful in this role, the individual must have fluent analytical capabilities enough to analyze demand forecasting models and other big data using excel power query, power pivot, or any other compatible skills.

Previous experience in product management or account management are also welcomed.

The market/customers knowledge and the ability to bring macro-economic view is preferred.

The individual should be fluent in English and an additional European language is preferred (Flemish, French, German).
