EMEA Senior Manager Business Excellence Lead

Primary Location: Belgium

Other possible locations: Zug, Switzerland or Ireland

The Business Excellence Lead partners very closely with the Deliver leaders across all sectors to drive process standardization and efficiencies by deploying JnJ continuous improvement framework, addressing critical business risks and building capabilities across the major Deliver functions: Distribution, Customer Service and Transportation, through quality and compliance.

This role represents EMEA in the Global Business Excellence Deliver forums and community-of-practices to ensure EMEA requirements are considered in setting new global standards.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
  • Deploy & sustain JJOS principles across all sites and customer service centers, lead teams in identify and implement opportunities to improve competitiveness (cost, reliability, compliance).
  • Partner in E2E improvements opportunities representing Deliver.
  • Chair, lead, and deliver transformation activities and Global Programs deployments.
  • Build Continuous Improvement capability within the EMEA Deliver teams: Lean, Six Sigma, JJOS, Analytics, Capability Gap Assesments, etc.
  • Act as a change agent capable of influencing without direct authority as required.
  • Insight and understanding of the overall business environment, basic business acuity, outside-in orientation and networking capability.
  • Knowing how value is built in the business and understanding the key levers to driving innovative improvements.
  • Direct management of the Business Excellence team (including performance management, career development planning).
  • Represent EMEA in Global Community of Practices and operationalize.
  • Coach project using Lean methodology.
  • Improving lean management system and methodologies.
  • Champions change management practices to ensure effective implementation and integration of global standards.

Qualifications
  • University degree (BA or BS) or equivalent, STEM discipline and MBA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Deliver/Supply Chain/Customer Service roles.
  • Strong leadership experience working in a global function and matrix environment.
  • Experience in Project Management (Lean-Six-Sigma, FPX, PIM, Prince2).
  • Proven business acumen in the areas of Deliver/ Supply Chain.
  • Data savvy backed by strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Experience with organizational change management, establishing teams, and developing communication strategy and fostering collaboration is preferred.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence without authority in a matrix organization, build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist.
  • A self- starter with proven cycles of success, who has the ability to effectively manage projects, multiple priorities, timelines and change management.
  • Ability to coach & develop future leaders who inspire and motivate others to realize the company’s strategies and goals.
  • Demonstrates integrity, inspires trust and avoids conflict of interest.
  • Fluent in English, additional European languages preferred.
