We are further strengthening Corteva Agriscience™. Towards that, the Regulatory function is recruiting an experienced professional as an EMEA Zonal Regulatory Leader.

Purpose

Lead an EMEA Regulatory Team for specific active substances to define and fulfill all project milestones within budget and timeframe, and to provide strategic regulatory overview to the team and project network. The Zonal Regulatory Leader role has overall responsibility for the approval of new active substances and line-extensions and the renewal of existing actives substances and their associated products, at EU and country levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Regulatory Team to develop and implement the Regulatory Strategy for their projects; ensure alignment with global regulatory and business strategies.
  • Lead the team to define studies and other activities to meet project goals; ensure the project plan includes strategic elements to allow key questions to be answered at the right time.
  • Ensure all relevant information is captured in appropriate documents and that all regulatory data and information is available and used in project decision making.
  • Facilitate registerability assessments, regulatory data reviews, and decision-making.
  • At all stages of the project encourage innovation and balanced risk-taking; challenge the team on technical and regulatory assumptions.
  • A permanent member of the overall project network; key influencer in project network decisions; update regulatory status of the project to R&D and Business leaders and the project network as appropriate.
  • Maintain an overview of internal and external technical and regulatory developments that may impact the project concept and success. Ensure a team environment where potential developments can be raised and reviewed for timely resolution.
  • Engagement with regulatory authorities to defend submissions in EU and support local interaction with country authorities.

Education

Ideally to at least Masters level in a relevant biological science, but experience is the most desired requirement.

Experience

Several years direct experience in the registration of plant protection active substances and products at EU, Zonal and country level.

Breadth of experience working with relevant regulatory disciplines; eg registration, toxicology, ecotoxicology, fate, as well as good understanding of product chemistry and biology. 

Location

Major Corteva Agriscience offices in Europe.

Reporting Line

The position reports to the EMEA Regulatory Leader for Herbicides/Fungicide/Insecticides

Language

Fluent in English, other European languages would be helpful.
