Engineering and Maintenance Manager (Compounding) - Your future role?

In this new role, as part of our organisational and cultural change you will manage the inspection and maintenance of facilities, related infrastructure, electrical and mechanical equipment, and production machinery to ensure that the site runs operations without undesired changes and at capacity level. You will be located in Vernier and directly report to the Site Engineering and Maintenance Manager.

You will:

  • Support the local Operations business plan and strategy execution production capacity, schedule of important maintenance activities, changes in equipment, spare parts inventory.
  • Apply preventive maintenance plans and maintenance support to improve availability and reliability of plant equipment and prevent business disruption
  • Define budgets based on maintenance requirements i.e. resources, materials, duration
  • Conduct audits/inspections to ensure compliance of installations, equipment and users with EHS and QM policies
  • Deploy improvements whether to correct non-compliant situations or improve productivity
  • Manage spare parts inventory to improve stock and dispose of obsolete materials
  • Provide support to engineering projects regarding operative procedures and equipment/installation trials
  • Lead a team of maintenance specialists which executes maintenance activities, typically for a small/medium site
  • Promote the development and promotion of talents within and outside the function

You?

  • University degree equivalence in Engineering or related discipline
  • 7+ years in manufacturing or plant operations
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Fluent French and conversational level English language skills
  • Experience in maintenance, maintenance management
  • Track record in industrialization and engineering projects including building, process installation, and utilities, from the design stage to hand-over
  • Project and change management experience
  • Knowledge of TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and project controlling tools
  • Knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines
