Are you organized? Are you a self-starter? Do you have previous experience working in investor and/or public relations and organizing events? Do you pride yourself on being detail oriented and client focused? Are you comfortable handling confidential information and data such as P/E ratios?

If these questions spark your interest, you should consider joining our investor relations team where you will work closely with SGS’s Senior Vice President – Corporate Communications, Sustainability & Investor Relations, to support the preparation of investor reports, presentations, consensus gathering and marketing materials, and play a pivotal role in developing SGSs reputation by contributing to the communication and organizing events with analysts and between corporate management and our investors.

In This Role You Will
  • Organize and attend various investor meetings, conferences (including our annual Investor Days) and site visits to promote SGS’s story
  • Manage the strategic investor targeting, using internal and external databases and systems to target new potential investors globally
  • Plan, target and organize SGS and/or third-party roadshows. Monitor and ensure payback on attendance, maintain relationships with sell-side corporate access and analyze performance of corporate access
  • Prepare analysts-reports summarizing key points of in-depth analyst reports looking for new analysis and changes in number / views
  • Coordinate the data collection and report construction for the senior management and the board
  • Work with databases, calendars, electronic files in an organized and logical way
  • Ensure all process documentation are updated regularly, with a focus on continuous improvement, prepare the IR budget, manage and help negotiate IR service provider contracts, ensure IR invoicing is up to date
  • Monitor the company story in the context of macro and competitive landscape
  • Oversee shareholder ownership along with maintain investor relations contacts and interactions details
  • Research and respond to investor / analysts’ queries
  • Research and prepare background materials and reports as required by the investor relations function in advance of investor/business development trips, senior management and board meetings
  • Analyze competitor results and messaging as well as the impact of any regulatory changes
  • Support the preparation of financial materials for investor reports, presentations and marketing materials, including quarterly valuation reports
  • Gather financial estimates, run and manage the consensus model, track company estimates against analyst estimates internally and externally
  • Provide IR feedback to annual report / interim report, and financial press releases; contribute to the quarterly investor presentations

    Qualifications

    We would expect you to have a real interest in the strategic value of investor relations for a company. This includes taking pride in the coordination of events and for the preparation of materials showcasing company performance to the outside world. You should be at ease with and able to understand financial reporting, professional services and corporate strategy and may even have worked in a regulated environment. You might have an accounting qualification such as ACA or CIMA to compliment this knowledge alongside a strong academic background.

    • Naturally numerate with the ability to manipulate and draw conclusions from data
    • Highly detail oriented
    • Able to work constructively across the Finance and Investor Relations teams
    • Extremely motivated and eager to learn with a high level of integrity
    • Highly competent in Excel
    • Having experience in finance is a definite advantage
