What you’ll be doing here

Provide teaching and supervise students research work at Bachelor and Master levels
Develop and lead projects of applied research and mandates at international level, acquire third-party funding, lead and manage your research team
Strengthen expertise of the group international agriculture and increase its visibility through publications and presentations
Optional: lead the Hugo P. Cecchini Institute for international cooperation and development

What you’ll bring with you

Agricultural economist / agricultural background, food systems, resource economics ideally with PhD
Experience in teaching, proven project acquisition, hands-on experience working in developing countries (mandates, project management and/or applied research), excellent knowledge and skills in Market System Development, Economic and Financial Analysis, Project Cycle Management and Theory of Change methodologies
A national and international network: government, NGO, research and private institutions, experience/network in Latin America is an advantage
Communication skills, (project) management experience, ready for international travel, flexibility, team player
Mother tongue French or German, with fluency in the other national language and in English (written and spoken). Spanish will be an asset
