As the premier supplier at our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a motivated Test Engineer to join a strategic credit risk project in Bellinzona, Ticino.

This is a 12-month rolling contract on a rolling basis for two years with chance of internalization based in Switzerland.

The Test Engineer would reinforce the Requirement Engineering Team supporting a strategic data management ecosystem, which harmonizes Credit Risk data from different booking systems across various locations and distributes it to all downstream applications, which consume it for further risk calculation, risk monitoring, data reporting and other purposes.

As part of a Core Delivery Team you will be asked to contribute to evolution of an ecosystem which is high-strategically for the whole back and requires highly skilled specialists with a solution and delivery oriented attitude.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Cooperates closely with the Test Manager, other Test Engineers, the IT Owner, the Requirements Engineer, the Software Engineer and the IT Project Manager
  • Coordinate with Requirement engineering and development team on day-to-day activities.
  • Create functional test scenarios and design test cases
  • Run functional and non-functional tests on the application
  • Capture and report any defects throughout test execution
  • Perform initial analysis of failed tests and reporting of the results
  • Maintain and update tests based on continuous feedback
  • Provide the results of tests and analysis back to the development & BA teams
  • Maintain test data & test environments
  • Create, deploy, and improve Quality Assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will possess the following skills:
  • Experienced Test Engineer with well understanding of IT infrastructure and SW solutioning
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, trouble-shooting skills and ability to own problems through to resolution
  • Well versed with Agile Project Development and testing methodologies
  • Good Analytics Background with strong SQL and Financial knowledge
  • Good testing fundamentals and proficient in bug tracking and test management tool-sets (JIRA, SVN, HP-ALM)
  • Basic knowledge of Test Automation procedure for UIs, APIs and Databases. Using tools like Selenium, Cucumber, SOAPUI, Postman
  • Fluent written and spoken English
Please note due to COVID interviews would be conducted remotely, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. The team is currently split between WFH and office right now. Post COVID occasional home office will be permitted 2-3 days per week.
