ER Services Sagl is looking for a UNIX/AIX Engineer for its’ Lugano based client.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer solutions for deployment, performance management, and maintenance of AIX based systems.
  • Installation, configuration, and administration, of IBM WebSphere or Open Liberty (and related) middleware products.
  • Support for business application life cycle, deployment and support for various test and production environments.
  • Excellent programming skills in ksh, Perl and the ability to maintain existing solutions written in this shell/language.
  • Deep understanding of Unix concepts.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in engineering and administration of large UNIX environments (AIX 7).
  • Effective TCP/IP / AIX / Unix networking skills.
  • Extensive "hands-on" infrastructure technology experience with focus on Systems Engineering, problem determination and resolution on Power7/8 hardware.
  • Strong understanding of application development techniques and experience developing web-based applications in a modern development language (i.e. Java, .NET, Python, etc.).
  • Ability to develop and maintain existing Korn shell scripts.
  • Exposure and grasp of C, Python and Perl.
  • Familiar with kdb, truss, trace, and tcpdump.
  • Italian Bilingual/Native & English B1.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as needed.
