Datacie is an early-stage startup on a mission to democratize corporate impact. We aim to create the most accessible social and environmental database on the world’s companies to help decision-makers tackle some of humanity’s most pressing challenges with reliable and timely information. We combine the latest advances in deep learning with a human-in-the-loop annotation platform to aggregate over 500 precise ESG data points on 10’000 companies that we will plan to make available via self-service APIs. We are located in the high-tech incubator "Le Garage" at the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Your role:

As an ESG Analyst & Support Analyst, you will be responsible for launching and maintaining few data collection initiatives:

• In launch phase, you will study relevant ESG frameworks and regulations, identify relevant metrics/indicators, perform empirical analysis using our internal platform, and create data collection schemas.
• In maintenance phase, you will hire, manage, communicate and review the work contributions of dozens of annotators that use our web platform to validate or reject the suggestions made by our AI models.

You will also set deadlines, manage contracts, monitor budgets, assign responsibilities, answer technical questions and summarize the progress of your data initiatives. You will also work on creating and maintaining content of your projects’ knowledge bases and creating FAQ articles. The role also involves providing regular feedback to our annotators to help them improve the quality of their work.

We expect you to constantly challenge our processes to improve them and make them scalable as we grow! This role comes with significant responsibilities, as your day-to-day activities will directly impact the data products we create and deliver to our clients.

About you:

• Master in Business Administration, Finance, or Environmental Engineering.
• Excellent English comprehension, speaking, and technical writing skills.
• Strong interest in sustainability, environment and social matters.
• Willingness to make an impact.
• Obsessive attention to detail is necessary for succeeding in this position.
• Can-do and mastery attitude.
• Independent, responsible and meticulous personality type.
• Low-bias behaviourisme is important.
