Facebook is seeking an experienced facilities professional to manage and work on operations, relocation, expansion, and renovation projects at our Zurich office. We continue to expand in this market and are looking for someone who can manage multiple locations. This position will have a key role in embodying and supporting the community and culture of this market, delivering new spaces, and implementing strategies to scale operations. This full-time position is in our Zurich office and will report to the Head of Facilities for EMEA.


  • Full on-site management of Facilities operations and services in traditional and serviced offices
  • Significant role in working with site leads to develop and foster Facebook culture
  • Work with Project Management, Real Estate & Facilities, Office Leaders, Workplace Design to help define scope of work for new builds, expansion, renovation projects to deliver best in class workplace
  • Coordinate office requirements for space planning, furniture, IT, Culinary and Security and other XFN partner
  • Support EHS team to ensure 100% compliance with local law and Facebook’s global H&S standards
  • Support events teams and partner with Events & Amenities leads in support of their strategic plans
  • Develop, manage, and maintain budgets associated with Facilities OPEX annual budgets, forecasting, and CAPEX planning
  • Manage communication and relationship with building landlords, property management and other external partners
  • Lead client relationship management for all internal clients and ensure excellent and consistent levels of customer service delivery
  • Provide direction to onsite facilities management vendor team
  • Control of business critical/emergency situations and seek to resolve promptly while ensuring minimum disruption to the business
  • Full oversight and responsibility of onsite operations, strategy, programs, and process to support 24/7 operations, critical systems backup, preventative maintenance, and asset management
  • Oversee alignment of standards in terms of hard and soft services including preventative maintenance delivery, janitorial, moves-adds-changes process, shipping/receiving operations, and process including management of IFM contract including SLA’s & KPI’s
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the facilities environment, implement innovative programs, processes, and procedures that reduce short- and long-term operating costs while increasing productivity and the workplace experience



  • Previous experience working in the real estate industry, property management or facilities management, reviewing and understanding lease and vendor contracts, even perhaps experience in negotiating specific agreements
  • Experience in managing a campus environment spread across multiple buildings
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, yet a “hands-on” attitude with an focus on a fast, flawless, but also creative and innovative execution
  • Exceptional levels of communication, both written and verbal
  • Strong relationship management experience
  • Capable of handling high level communication with leadership and heads of office
  • Strength in negotiating and influencing skills
  • Strong recruiting and leadership skills with a (cross-functional) team-oriented and collaborative approach to work and a passion about making an impact
  • Prioritizes customer service and relationship building
  • Strong focus on inspiring customer experiences and showing interests on feel good management, with an appetite for the inspiring work of researchers, developers and engineers within the world of reality labs
  • High willingness to travel within Europe
  • Fluency in German & English
  • Bachelor’s degree required with preferred focus in business, facilities management, engineering, real estate, or property management. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in facilities operations, site operations, or property management leadership role
  • Ability to work effectively within deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and follow-up
  • Experience in a multi-office environment
