Join our team! We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious Facultative Underwriter Casualty for our team in Zurich covering markets in EMEA.


Your job will entail originating, evaluating and underwriting facultative business within your assigned portfolios. You will be able to assess a wide range of risk types with your experience and by utilizing state-of-the-art models. An important part of your role will be to foster client and broker relationships and develop new opportunities with prospective clients. You will collaborate with client managers, market underwriters and treaty underwriters in a cross-functional team. Together we build on our partnerships with our clients and share our knowledge, with the objective to bring value for the client and Swiss Re. This role offers you lots of space to develop own ideas and find creative solutions.

About you


We are happy to meet you if you:



• Hold University degree equivalent
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in Casualty underwriting (insurance or reinsurance) or in the facultative broker business, preferably in a market in Europe, Middle East or Africa
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Have outstanding analytical skills
  • You are pragmatic, solution- and result-oriented and get the job done
  • Are outstanding teammate who can work independently and takes ownership for making decisions
  • See yourself as a sales person and dealmaker
  • Are forward-thinking, trustworthy, enthusiastic and curious to learn
