The Specialized Turbo e-Bike Quality Team’s mission is to deliver the best cycling experience to every rider, no matter their location.

For our team located in Cham (ZG), Switzerland we are seeking a Field Quality Engineer to commence immediately or by agreement. As a Field Quality Engineer you will work with cross functional teams to solve & prevent rider facing challenges specifically on Electro-mechanical systems on our Turbo e-Bikes. You will utilize warranty data to direct resource in solving the highest priority issues. You will engage directly with suppliers, design engineering, rider care, and product management teams to create immediate rider facing solutions & permanent corrective actions.

How You’ll Make a Difference
  • Provide Rider Care teams with urgent solutions to rider-facing Turbo systems issues, getting riders back on bikes as quickly as possible
  • Collaborate with design teams to solve urgent customer issues and incorporate lessons learned into future Turbo system designs
  • Collaborate with suppliers to reduce warranty rates, utilizing regular cadence data reporting & meetings.
  • Own and drive field issue investigation and resolution
  • Manage technical investigations to quickly understand root cause and create corrective actions.
  • Utilize data trends & Rider Care issue reports to determine investigation need & priority
  • Conduct physical review, teardown, and failure analysis of warrantied product
  • Coordinate with outside experts or labs as necessary
  • Report outcomes of investigations in a digestible format for Rider Care teams & customers
What You Need To Win
  • Bachelor of Engineering or similar education
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality or Design engineering of Mechanical/Mechatronic systems
  • Experience in using problem solving tools such as 8D or 7 Steps and Quality tools like FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma
  • Specific experience with software-connected and firmware-driven hardware is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence cross functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and proactively drive collaborative discussions and issue resolution
  • Experience with reading and creation of engineering drawings & technical writing
  • Project management skills – ability to set targets, action plans, and execute accordingly
  • Avid cyclist and bike mechanic, passionate about our products
  • Experience with collaboration between teams located around the globe preferred
  • Excellent English skills (written and spoken), German is a plus
