We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) to join our service team in Switzerland. As technical specialist for the entire product range of Cepheid, including our legendary GeneXpert, you will provide outstanding field service support for our customers in Switzerland

Your ideal location for this role would be in the Western part of Switzerland or in In this role you can be located in any part of Switzerland, preferably in the Western Switzerland /Romandy.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Travel throughout Switzerland or to other locations on short notice to support the company’s products and field service partners
  • Handle repair, installations and customer training
  • Provide support on company instrumentation products
  • Perform routine standard procedures to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software
  • Work closely with the Technical support team to address customer complaints to resolve corrective action and customer follow-up
  • Document and report the company’s product "design reliability" and "maintenance issues" and/or problems to technical support
  • Able work on-call on designated weekends to provide service support within a short period of time
  • Achieve and exceed Customer Satisfaction key performance indicators
  • Complete assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:
  • Educational background in the field of mechanical, electronics or software engineering, automation or equivalent
  • Several years of work experience in a customer-facing, field role, ideally in the medical device industry or similar industries and technologies
  • Experience with SW interfaces would be helpful
Knowledge and skills:
  • Customer focus attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Quality Focus
  • Analytical Thinking
  • Highly flexible and able to regularly travel and work away from home
  • Ability to communicate in English/French fluently. Knowledge of German and/or Italian language would be an asset
