Position Summary

As a Filling & Packing Machine Engineer, you will participate to projects on packaging machines for our three Nespresso production centers (mainly in Orbe and Romont, sometimes in Avenches). This includes to coordinate all stages of the implementation of new solutions for our machines, from kick-off to commissioning of the machines for production, and to manage trials with new machines, modifications of existing machines and other activities having impact on packaging machines. In this position, you will provide machine expertise by ensuring the transfer of skills, operational parameters and best practices to the relevant departments.

A day in the life of a Filling & Packing Machine Engineer:
  • Manage packaging machines projects and trials in our production centers for new packaging solutions:
    • Continuous improvement in collaboration with productions centers or machine suppliers
    • Identification of performance improvement opportunities and execute their implementation
    • Participation to packaging machine development projects to suit business requirements
  • Development of packaging machines:
    • Contribute to the selection and development, commissioning and putting into operation new packaging machines
    • Ensure compliance of packaging machines to safety and hygiene requirements
  • Support the engineering, production, quality or supply chain operational teams of the production centers:
    • Perform systematic root cause analysis for problem solving, elaborate measures to eliminate the root causes and execute or support the implementation of the solutions
What Will Make You Successful
  • Engineering Diploma in the field of Packaging, Mechanics, Automation & Electricity
  • Successful industrial experience at packaging machine manufacturing companies or in food industries
  • Structured way of working & analytical thinking
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
  • Mobile and flexible
  • Good command of the MS Office tools
  • Proficiency in English and French, German or Italian would be an asset
