Job Description

Key responsibilities of this Finance Business Partner will include :
  • Assist the team during the implementation of SAP optimization initiatives:
  • Budget transfer preparations in SAP
  • Administration of SAP to reflect operational budget changes as necessary
  • Ensure master data validation and compliance
  • Provide assistance to the team with the implementation of initiatives impacting budgetary activities
  • Support to the team for ad-hoc requests during the peak period before go-live
  • Assist budget owners/ focal points for a smooth transition
  • Monthly or quarterly business partnering meetings including analysis
  • Prepare for the monthly or quarterly meetings with the business to review their expenditures compared to the budget and forecast
  • Track and follow-up action items as per agreed timelines
  • Support the business in case of transactional reclasses needed and verify that they are posted properly
  • Ensure a smooth transition of the reclass process from Finance to the business
  • Assist the team on any year-end close activities impacting the Business Partnering team
  • Budget and Forecast preparations
  • Forecast preparation:
    • Support the business in preparing the forecasts for the year
    • Review and challenge assumptions
    • Review/follow-up action items as agreed
    • Ad-hoc analyses
  • Budget preparation incl. risks / opportunities analysis:
    • Support the business in preparation of their budget
    • Understand and challenge assumptions, make sure standard assumptions for selected items (retreats, travel etc.) are applied
    • Work closely with the FP&A team to support consolidation
    • Review/follow-up action items as agreed
    • Update SAP with agreed changes, when necessary
    • Ad-hoc analyses
    • Business Partnering across the organisation
    • Strategic and business support to business owners to be provided as required and as per the agreed timelines
    • Understanding of the team’s activities, projects and resources
    • Organise monthly meetings with the teams and quarterly meetings with the Department’s Managing Directors to review budget utilisation
    The Successful Applicant

    The successful Finance Business Partner will bring the following background :
    • Degree in finance or accounting (ACCA, CPA or MBA an advantage)
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in budgeting, financial planning and financial accounting preferably in US GAAP (or IFRS) environments including at least a 2 years’ experience in an accounting or controlling role
    • Experience in working with SAP (S4 HANA, FI, CO, PFM, SAC, BW) is a considerable asset
    • Excellent computer skills, in particular with Microsoft Excel
    • Experience in analytics and data mining, reporting of results
    • Excellent attention to detail is critical
    • Customer, service and solution orientated
    • Promotes sharing of information and cross-team work
    • Able to successfully interact at all levels of the organisation
    • Team player, yet equally able to work autonomously
    • Integrity and principles-based work ethics
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment
    • Potential to manage multiple projects simultaneously and maintain focus on priority
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
