About the role

The Finance Business Partner Lead will provide financial business partnering support to Neuchâtel’s Operations Leadership. As an agile thought partner, the incumbent of this role will
  • act as Finance business partner lead to Site Function Heads and managers, providing Financial Analysis, business and decision support, while enabling and co-creating innovative solutions to site challenges
  • Advise site in key business decisions; debate strategic issues, identify growth opportunities and minimize exposure to the financial plan
  • responsible for piloting the Financial Planning, Reporting, Consolidation and Analysis efforts for the site
  • Other support to the Finance team is expected with monthly close, analysis responsibilities and ad hoc projects
How You Will Contribute
  • Business partnering with the Site management and other team members to develop and implement action plans to drive performance and productivity
  • Partner with Neuchâtel Operations and GMS Consolidations teams for development and reporting of the annual budget, mid and long range plans and shorter term forecasts. The role would coordinate the data input into the FP&A tool as well as support in the presentation preparations and other scenario analyses
  • Coordinate monthly reporting templates liaising with Neuchâtel finance and the consolidations finance teams and publish metrics for financial tracking and presentations
  • Review monthly manufacturing performance production volume, core earnings, manufacturing variances, capex, inventory and head count providing clear and transparent explanation of the deviations and highlighting identified risks and opportunities
  • Improve forecast accuracy and minimize enterprise risk by adapting predictive outlook. Provide commentary and insights to frame assumptions and context for forecasting. Review Forecast against trends to evaluate need for corrective action plans
  • Build business case as Finance Business Partner amongst a cross functional team and perform financial analysis for investments and projects
  • Act as back-up for Cost Accounting Lead during absence
Technical/Functional (LINE) Expertise
  • In-depth experience in financial analysis and planning; zero-based as well as effective based budgeting, operations accounting, assets, leases, operating expenses and capital expenditure
  • Working knowledge of financial planning and forecasting principals and business investment analysis modelling (NPV, IRR, ROI)

  • High level of complexity due to the diversity of GMS manufacturing network and the existence of multiple financial systems
  • Ability to work in partnership to resolve conficting priorities, tight deadlines and provide financial guidance and impact
What You Bring To Takeda
  • Education Completed business studies with focus on management accounting or controlling. CMA, CPA, Master in Finance or MBA education preferred.
  • Experience +7 years of professional experience in a finance / controlling position preferably with exposure to manufacturing and/or supply chain, and experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Power Point. Solid knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle C3ME + experience with multi-dimensional cubes would be a distinct advantage.
