Reporting to the Business Controlling team lead, the business controller of the PAPI Division will be a vital member of the Swiss finance team. You will contribute to set business strategy in line with wider division and product group strategies.

In this role you will provide key support to the business, while ensuring accurate tracking and processing of all required accounting transactions. You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions.

Your responsibilities
  • Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for one or more local business lines and serving as the interface with HQ/Global Business line Controller(s) /Local Business Heads
  • Performing financial analysis, reporting to business managers/partners and making suggestions to improve performance
  • Establishing cost structures, productivity optimization and capital efficiency while closely monitoring cash flow and taking relevant actions to improve net working capital
  • Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines/procedures and external regulatory requirements
  • Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information
  • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant Controllers, the Accounting Center and others to identify and discuss issues, and suggest improvements
  • Being the dedicated controller for newly established Software License Factory
  • Assisting the Head of business controlling in the successful transition from hub to Business Line structures
  • Representing business controlling PAPI in successful roll-out of Finance Transformation Program
Your background
  • 5 years minimum of relevant experience
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including ABACUS, SAP
  • Strong Excel skills required, BW a real plus
  • Accurate, able to dig into details while not losing sight of big picture
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management
  • Fluent English mandatory, German beneficial
