MedTech Supply Chain Currency Management COE

The Currency Management COE has the global responsibility to analyze and consolidate the impacts of currency fluctuations on the financials of all sourcing companies within MedTech, and to complete hedging activities to reduce the volatility linked to that.

This role involves a high degree of exposure, through business partnering with the global Financial Planning & Analytics teams, Global Treasury Services, and the Pharmaceutical and Consumer sectors to continue the standardization in currency forecasting and reporting, as well as to Senior Management to provide insights in the consolidated result. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing process improvements and onboarding activities on a global level!

This role will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Currency Management COE in the MedTech Principal Inventory Costing (PIC) COE.

Responsibilities and scope of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Lead at least 1 Senior Finance Analyst.
  • Plan, forecast, and report transactional currency impacts across worldwide MedTech.
  • Provide currency analytics and insights to the PIC COE, FP&A and Senior Management.
  • Co-own with Pharm the TM1 Hedging Tool: primary contact for all TM1 hedging related questions, business partnering with TM1 Hedging participants and the relevant IT departments, onboarding, and training of new participants, driving enhancements.
  • Provide hedging training about currency principles to the whole of MedTech.
  • Implement standard processes and ensure full leverage of the tools/systems to drive efficiencies.
  • Maintain positive relationship with business partners, collaborate and innovate to drive value and achieve business and financial targets.
  • Roll-out automation by using RPA, Power BI, and Alteryx to drive standardized and efficient processes.

Qualifications
  • University degree in Finance/Economics with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have strong finance, accounting, and business insight. MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or other financial certifications are preferred.
  • A solid grasp of hedging principles, hedge accounting and inventory accounting is preferred.
  • Supply Chain experience preferred.
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication and business partnering skills as well as the ability to collaborate in a virtual environment across multiple sectors and regions.
  • Highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and proven leadership skills.
  • A “can-do” mentality with a strong continuous improvement mind-set.
  • Able to combine a helicopter view with deep dives when needed.
  • The ability to work independently and manage complexity as well as the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. Ability to bring clarity to sophisticated business issues.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with TMI, Alteryx, Power BI is preferred.
  • Demonstrate work life balance; solicit feedback on organizational health and implement improvements; remove barriers to success.
