Job Description:

Proactive, self-directed individual with high standards of quality and performance. Owns the global financial forecasting, budgeting, data gathering and analysis processes for the Treatment Units and Instruments Business Unit. Provides insights to improve financial results in the areas of sales, gross profit, operating profit and working capital.

Develops, maintains, and improves internal financial processes to ensure accuracy and predictability of results, timely reporting and consolidation of results and forecasts, analysis of variations and the determination of countermeasures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise global budget and forecast processes, including submission in the company’s financial system (HFM)

  • Own global budget and forecast deliverables (e.g. budget and forecast decks)

  • Deliver and present global consolidation of month-end financial reports and variance analysis

  • Measure and track departmental spending vs budget and forecast

  • Use of company databases to retrieve relevant information to analyze current performance and determine future plans and forecasts (e.g. in the areas of sales, margin, indirect spend, working capital, etc.)

  • Make recommendations regarding cost savings or profit-generating opportunities

  • Analysis of financial results to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures and initiate necessary countermeasures in collaboration with the persons responsible

  • Financial data gathering, analysis, preparation of reports and recommendations to improve financial results

  • Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required

  • Miscellaneous financial projects, analysis and administrative duties as assigned

  • Assist in the continuous improvement, development, modification and implementation of financial systems and processes as necessary. This includes learning and using the Envista Business System (EBS) tools.

Job Requirements:

Education Requirements:

  • University Degree in finance/accounting/business administration OR Engineering Degree with graduate degree or equivalent experience in financial management

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience as financial analyst/controller in a multi-site, industrial environment

  • Relevant experience with a US multi-national company

Competences/Skills Requirements (technical, procedural, social):

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is required

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar financial systems

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems

  • Experience in data extraction and report compilation with database applications

  • Fluent in English

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills

  • Operates at all levels within the organization

  • Capable of managing multiple responsibilities

  • Hands-on and highly motivated

  • Some international accounting experience would be a plus

Certification Requirements:

  • Certified Accountant qualification (CPA) and MBA are a plus
