The Financial Controller is responsible for providing dedicated financial analysis and group reporting, as well as inventory control product costing and analysis. He/She will help drive operational efficiency and will be in charge of the monthly reporting, budget preparation and analysis and will influence key company initiative decisions.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial Analysis and planning:

  • Provides financial expertise for the preparation and the finalization of the group monthly reporting, including preparing budget and monitoring spend against budget, taking corrective action if required.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly forecasting and variance analysis/reporting for the Profit and Loss accounts and the Balance sheet, including consolidated gross margin at sku level
  • Conducts reconciliations and manages incremental budget requests.
  • Designs, implements and maintains budget reports and dashboards to better understand monthly and quarterly spend details.
  • Manages purchase request creation and ensures spend is accurately recorded and tracked.
  • Ensures adherence of financial processes and procedures to company standards, providing resolution of issues found.

Inventory

  • Monitors the regular consumption of precious materials (gold and diamonds) in respect with the monthly statements received from vendors.
  • Analyzes the impact of Variances and ensure the updating of the standard costs used.
  • Maintains records of the “Wardrobe program” initiatives and samples to ensure the correct alignment with the inventory and related evaluation.
  • Performs periodical evaluation of warranty provisions, obsolete / scratched items in accordance with Company policies.
  • Conducts periodical stock count and analyses the reason of identified differences providing rationale and proposing solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years in a similar role, preferably in the watchmaking industry
  • Master Degree in Finance, Economy or equivalent
  • Good English knowledge
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other financial softwares; knowledge of ERP: Navision will be considered a strong plus
  • Strong analytical Skills and attention to details
  • Critical thinking and problem solving attitude
  • Good communication capabilities and eager to work in a fast pace enviroment
