As a Firmware Engineer in the Automotive Product Team, you will work to bring the latest sensor fusion technologies to the new generation of standard precision positioning receivers.

Our team designs, implements, tests, documents and provides support for the automotive positioning products. As Firmware Engineer, you will be tasked with integrating different features from other engineering teams, as well as developing new ones, you will be also providing support with test reviews and debugging.

You will be part of an international multi-site team. In your daily work you’ll be using an agile approach and the following tools to work together: Jira, Gitlab and wiki. You will mainly program in C but also will possibly use some scripting in Perl or Python. You know your way around Gitlab repositories. You have a general understanding of digital electronics, can read schematics or are interested in a system level approach. Rigging up some test HW is not a challenge but rather makes you smile. You like to use on-chip debuggers, oscilloscopes or logic analysers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Taking part in the complete development process which includes design, implementation and verification of embedded receiver firmware
  • Implementation of new features according to a requirement specification and project plan
  • Actively participating in sprint planning and other team meetings
  • Providing analysis and workarounds or fixes for bugs and nonconformities

Your Skills and Experience

  • BSc., MSc or another degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent studies
  • At least 1 year of work experience with embedded systems. This is the minimum but not the maximum
  • Knowledge in software development and debugging techniques
  • Knowledge in RF and signal processing
  • Programming skills:
  • Embedded C
  • Git, Subversion or other version control software
  • Eclipse, Visual Studio Code or similar development environment
  • Flexible team player, with ability and motivation to work as part of a bigger project
  • Experience in Agile & Scrum work environments
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to our other sites within Europe
