The Nestlé System Technology Centre in Orbe is Nestlé’s leading competence center for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home. As an “Associate R&D Specialist in Machine Development”, you will support out-of-home machine project teams in break-through product & systems development. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to create key technologies & processes in beverage systems in response to business, customers and consumer needs. A Day in the Life of an Associate R&D Specialist in Machine Development
  • Propose new ideas and technical improvements of future and existing Machine Systems
  • Test new concepts or features and assess system performance
  • Build prototypes, install machines, run tests and proactively conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting on these machine prototypes, generate investigations at laboratory scale and analyze data
  • Present results and methods in written and oral form to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical assistance during the ramp-up of factories, propose and implement corrective actions with 3rd parties
  • Build expertise in coffee machine development and share across competence streams

What Will Make You Successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanics, microtechnics, electronics, CFC or ETS Graduate in the relevant technical field
  • Interest for mechanical & digital components of a machine and their functioning
  • Passion for engineering, building and testing
  • Openness and flexibility
  • Strong team spirit
  • Excellent hands-on approach
  • Fluent in French and/or English
