For our Translational Medicine Laboratory based in Lausanne until December 2022, and then operating on our site in Martigny as of January 2023 we are looking for a

Bioresearch Associate Scientist

As a bench-oriented scientist position, the primary mission is to evaluate and setting up new high value-added procedures and protocols in the areas of cell culture, immunology and molecular biology in order to actively support translational pre-clinical and clinical studies in support of all Translational Medicine services. He also ensures the development of new IT tools for raw data management and analysis.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:
Ensure the development of high value-added procedures and implement new technologies in connection with the Translational Laboratory strategy
Support the Bioresearch manager by leading/Innovation projects and ensuring technicians training and supervision
Ensure the development of IT tools for raw data management and analysis in connection with the Bioresearch analytical needs
Provide hands-on research support for the Bioresearch team whenever necessary
Contribute actively to the quality of the Translational Laboratory by ensuring the drafting and filling of operating instructions, laboratory analysis plans and report documents as well as the planning of maintenances
Ensure the training of colleagues on new technologies and IT analyses tools
Requirements
Ph.D. in life science, postdoctoral experience is an advantage
At least 3 years experience in performing Cell Culture, Flow Cytometry, immunostaining, fluorescent microscopy, transfection
A first experience in molecular biology (DNA/RNA preparation, qPCR, sequencing) is an asset
Strong proficiency in analytical and IT tools (MS Office, R language, Shiny, Matlab, FlowJo, Graphpad, ImageJ)
Excellent teamworking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
French is an asset
