Role description

Private and Investment Bankers since 1964. Our activities cover wealth and asset management, as well as investment banking services to a sophisticated and international clientele, looking to develop and invest in Europe and Asia. CIGP’s investment scope spans across the public and private markets.

We are looking for a Business Analyst for a 6 months internship, starting ideally in January, in our Geneva office, to assist on various problem-solving business cases and new business developments. The candidate shall have a curious, open and flexible mind, willing to develop commercial responsibilities and work independently from early-on. She/he will gain broad experience with various industry sectors and solve a multitude of problems in different areas of the business. In each assignment, the candidate is encouraged to demonstrate a strong level of responsibility. Main assignments and deliverables shall include:

She/he shall support the Geneva team in various activities depending on her/his skills and capabilities. These shall include contributing to operational efficiencies, identify business development opportunities, develop automated solutions, research and analyse potential businesses, origination of projects/deals, and follow-up in the context of other new product development initiatives.


Deliverables:

  • Support in research and due diligence for new projects, business development initiatives and partnerships/opportunities.
  • Interact with various prospects, partners, suppliers and analyse target sectors and markets.
  • Contribute to online presence by producing articles, handling and monitoring potential ad campaigns and data-driven research.
  • Optimise and drafting various processes and tools.
  • Proactively help teammates and provide various support to other tasks.


Requirements


  • Academic:
    Completed undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance or economics (computer science, mathematics or engineering degrees will be preferred).
  • Work experience: Prior working experiences preferable (Start-ups, Tech firm, Consulting or Investment Banking).
  • Personal skills: Analytical, entrepreneurial, autonomous, self-starter, capable of sourcing and executing projects independently. Good team player with strong. communications skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver management presentations and public speaking. Open to critics, altruist and strong ethics are essential traits.
  • IT skills:Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint) is a must. Any relevant programming and database skills (Python, MongoDB, HTML, CSS, etc…) will be a plus.
  • Languages: Full working proficiency (reading, writing, speaking and listening) in English. French fluency is highly recommended. Any additional language is a plus.
