THE POSITION

The D365 Consultant will be responsible for providing product support to the users of D365 – Finance & Operations platform and assisting in providing technical support to allow other applications to integrate successfully with D365. The support is provided to a varied user base including executive level, so it will be necessary to take responsibility for all queries and resolve them as quickly as possible.

This role can be home based in the UK or Switzerland, alternatively can be based at our office in London (City) or Switzerland (Nyon). Occasional travel will required to SCB offices that are not your home base.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • 1st/ 2nd line support of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Analysing/troubleshooting system issues & errors both on-site and remotely, as required.
  • Monitor and maintain the D365 Application support queue (Jira Service Desk)
  • Conduct analysis to triage the assigned issues, escalate as required.
  • Diagnose and resolve Dynamics problems and provide information to educate the users on resolutions in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Engage with appropriate internal and external resources to resolve technical issues and keep users updated on progress toward resolution.
  • Ensure that support issues are assigned, and resolutions are documented.
  • Regularly review support log to track performance, trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Day-to-day user support, coordinating with other IT team members to manage internal D365 system and incidents.
  • Provide first level technical support.
  • Assisting in project-based implementation – requirements specification, basic development, testing, training, release and change management.
  • Configuration management and patch deployment across multiple D365 Finance & Operations environments.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and must be able to work on their own initiative. An excellent understanding of infrastructure, software and troubleshooting in an enterprise managed Dynamics365 Operations and Finance environment is essential.

Additional skills and competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 functional capabilities centered around supporting Finance & Project accounting.
  • A proven track record supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Technical and analytical mind-set.
  • Clear writing and verbal communication.
  • Results-oriented with personal accountability and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office365 (especially Excel), Power BI, and MS Teams.
  • Troubleshooting system issues remotely and face to face, to users across multiple global sites.
  • Analytical skills, very good organization of work and the ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with internal and external (MS partner) teams.
  • Confident communication skills, with ability to support face to face & remotely.
  • Good basic knowledge of data management, databases, SQL, Power Automate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting infrastructure & software problems in supporting Dynamics AX and/or D365 Finance & Operations.
  • Knowledge of accounting and controlling area - experience in implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365, a certificate confirming competences would be a plus.
  • Higher education, preferably - technical, economic or IT.
  • Microsoft certification would be a plus.
