For our Automotive Products Group - Business Unit Actuation Systems (BU AS) based in Murten, we are looking for an Engineering Manager (w/m), responsible for a team of mechanical and fluid engineers. While leading new product development and technology as well as serial product lifecycle projects, he is acting as main contact for internal and external customers in technical matters across the globe.

Responsibilities
  • Development of actuator and valves including components according specification and market needs Design to specification, Design to cost, Deliver on time, first time right
  • Manage project phases according to JE Product Development System / ASPICE process
  • Supervision and direction of technical project documentation, preparation of project reviews and gates according to ECC procedure
  • Central communicator for internal as well as external customers and suppliers
  • Support to set-up other locations of JE worldwide to a level of expertise to enhance global collaboration
  • Develop robust components and products with appropriate capability called best in class product using JE production technology on big volumes.
Requirements
  • Master’s Engineering degree in mechanics, electrical or similar
  • 6 - 10 years of similar experience as a project leader in the automotive field
  • Technical know-how of modern manufacturing technology in plastic and metal processing
  • Leading by example a team of skilled engineers with rigor, discipline and strictly in accordance with the JE Product Development System / ASPICE process
  • Experience in applying latest 3D engineering tools, preferentially Siemens NX
  • Independence and systematic working, able to work under pressure
  • Disciplined use of mandatory processes
  • Fluency in French or German
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Experience in a multi-cultural context and excellent communication skills
  • Able to solve conflicts within the team and lead to a common conclusion
  • Reflection of natural authority and the ability to motivate and align the project team
  • Capability for synthetic issues reporting to upper management
