Your role

Are you fascinated by commodities? Do you want to get an insight of this exciting environment?

We’re looking for someone like that to

• support our Relationship Managers in their daily tasks like client profiling or due diligence
• closely collaborate with various teams across our CTF department
• take part in different projects
• take part in the day-to-day tasks of commodities’ flows financing
  

Internship

Our 6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance.

From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience our unique workplace culture.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Commodity Trade Finance team in Geneva. Our clients are physical traders of commodities. Our CTF team is staffed with more than 50 experienced professionals whose mission is to arrange the financing for flows of commodities around the planet. Steel travelling from Russia to North America, copper from Zambia to China or crude oil from UAE to Europe are our day to day lives.

Your expertise

You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months, ideally in business administration, banking and finance, economics or similar.

In particular, you have

• good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
• a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality
• an interest in the commodity market
• the ability stay on track, even when dealing with tight deadlines
• excellent English (written and oral) and French
  

But we’d like to also see evidence that you can

• analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision
• handle professionally confidential information
• make things happen
• work in a team
  

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
