As a Logistic Supervisor in a R&D environment, you will manage and guide logistics activities function to ensure effective and efficient execution of all services & collaboration on site. To make it happen you will manage a team made of logistics technicians, specialist and apprentices.

A day in the life of a Logistics Supervisor
- Ensure raw materials, packaging equipment and finished goods are available as per need (on time /on-quality) aligned with partners. (Pilot Plant Line Manager, Site Engineering Team Manager, Project Managers)
- Ensure all material handling are in line with best practices/processes in place (from reception, to storage, picking & to expedition) according standards in place.
- Operational reviews and cross-functional collaboration with the management in place & other departments to communicate, improve and challenge operational needs and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal Supply Chain (SC) stakeholders (purchasing/customs) on possible optimizations. (permanent stock, truck movements, expedition)
- Communicate logistics needs for budget Reviews to SC manager/department and ensure efficient use for areas in scope
- Plan regular reviews with team members and follow-up on escalations/needs to support on any occurring issue.
- Ensure an adequate level of flexibility of structures & processes to meet ad-hoc customer’s needs & to adapt to changes in logistics/market environment.
- Motivate and engage team and promote a safety and quality mindset within the teams.
- Ensure all activities/services are performed in line with QA and Safety processes in place
- Define & set adequate KPIs and ensure team maintenance and follow-up of KPIs (with required frequency, during convenient sessions and actioned based on results with corresponding stakeholders)
- Streamline processes to drive productivity
- Strong educational background in Logistics
- 5 years’ experience in the logistics field/Operations experience in a factory
- Previous experience as Team Manager is a must
- Good command of Master Office 365 tools (Excel, Word…)
- Agility to drive an organizational change
- Fluent in French and English
