As “Materials & Technologies Innovation Specialist”, you will manage innovation, design and development of functional packaging solutions for new Coffee systems, from concept to launch in full alignment with business needs and with Nestlé sustainability requirements. You will build your expertise and apply your knowledge in the field of functional packaging / materials / Filling and Sealing lines. In this position, you will be responsible to ensure project is delivered on time with high quality and within budget while meeting safety, compliance and regulatory aspects.

A Day in the Life of a Materials & Technologies Innovation Specialist
  • Propose new ideas/concepts/activities/methods/optimizations in terms of design, materials and characterization
  • Develop packaging solutions that properly interact with the system and deliver targeted system performance. Evaluate and benchmark the environmental impact of the solutions
  • Lead packaging projects with selected packaging suppliers and conduct trials at Nestlé factories with focus on product quality, on time delivery, line performance and cost efficiency
  • Ensure proper management of internal and external stakeholders, escalate internal and external issues to NSTC and manage budget
  • Ensure competitive edge and support intellectual property management
  • Disseminate best practices and knowledge within the team and with peers by using or developing appropriate training materials

What Will Make You Successful
  • Engineer with expertise in mechanics and/or materials and/or packaging and converting processes (rigid packaging aluminum / plastics)
  • Significant R&D experience as Project Manager
  • Mastership of 6 Sigma methodology is a definitive plus
  • Affinity and capacity to translate science and technology into consumer benefits and business winning concepts
  • Good analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
  • Creative to find solution and ability to think out of the box
  • Good written and oral communication skills (including presentations), strong ability to influence stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, other languages advantageous
