Position Summary

As a “Research Machine Manager”, you will lead the Research team and create the right environment for idea generation, prototyping and validation. In this setting, you will qualify and assess first feasibility and potential of these ideas to recommend on the way forward. Generate buy-in from internal and external stakeholders, and from the business, to deliver the business roadmap Manage and guide project managers through career paths.

A Day in the Life of a Coffee Machines Push Innovation Lead

• Scout innovation ideas for machines, system, services across internal and external sources (R&D, suppliers, employees, manufacturers, developers, designers, other industries, and competitors)
• Iterate on winning ideas and deliver reliable solutions, actionable by the Dev teams
• Organize creative sessions with relevant stakeholders to generate ideas
• Grow and qualify ideas with internal and external stakeholders (engineering partners, Consumer research team…) to present them to the Ideation Council
• Organize and animate Ideation Council meetings
• Create the context: create alignment, lead by example, promote an open culture and our values in a sustainable way. (Sustain the change)
• Drive performance: empower and enable people, give and receive feedback, constantly challenge the set up organization to ensure its results and effectiveness
• Recognize achievements: give and receive recognition, reward performance
  

What Will Make You Successful

• University Master’s degree or equivalent
• 8 years business experience
• Innovation or R&D experience
• At least 5 years in Innovation catalyst positions
• Proven track record of generating breakthrough innovation
• Experience in Project management
• Solid organizational skills
• Business and objective driven
• Fluent in English, French an asset
