As a Panel Lead & Sensory Analyst, you will be responsible of an expert sensory panel, develops and leads the descriptive external sensory panel on a daily basis with support from a technician. In this position, you will assist the Sensory Insight Specialists by providing initial data analysis and reports with conclusions and recommendation. You will lead and provide support for all sensory panel related activities. You will follow CSI best practices and execute successfully the use of Sensory methods and understand impact of sensory activities into Consumer Research in innovation and renovation process.

A Day in the Life of a Panel Lead & Sensory Analyst

• Management and training of sensory external panels (on site and at home sessions)
• Administration of external panels
• Screening and training of new external panelists
• Prepare relevant general training based on past panel results
• Tracking panel performance and providing feedback to panelists
• Follow and update the different KPIs and take actions if KPIs are not met

• Planning and execution of tasting sessions for projects
• Plan and run assigned panel sessions based on Sensory Insight Specialists feedbacks and project objective
• Participate to technical tastings of projects and
• Participate in products selection and sensory methodology recommendation depending on the planned sessions and project objective
• Lead Shelf-life research from planning to analysis and recommendation

• Analysis and reporting
• Checking data quality and taking appropriate actions
• Data analysis and report writing to be shared to Sensory Insight Specialists and Project Team
• Work closely with the sensory panel members, Sensory Technicians, Sensory Insight Specialists and other R&D associates to provide all sensory panel related support to the business on a timely basis

• Build and share sensory knowledge
• Development of tasting procedures and methodologies
• Maintain library references for the considered Product category
• Connect and share with other Panel Leaders within the Community
  

What Will Make You Successful

• BS or BA in Food Science/technology, with a strong educational background in statistics and Sensory
• Technical training in scientific or food-related field, is a plus.
• Min 3 years of experience in panel moderating or facilitation and in sensory evaluation or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills:
• MS-Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Experience with EyeQuestion (Sensory data collection software) is a plus.
• Experience with statistical analysis and reporting is mandatory
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Comfortable to interact with English speakers (written and oral).
