Position Summary

As a Quality Specialist at Nestlé Research & Development Orbe, you will be part of the site operations teams and you will contribute to promote Quality & Food Safety on products under innovation or renovation developments. You will be specifically managing Quality & Food Safety requirements related to the productions of trials in our Pilot Plants and in direct contact with product development teams, pilot plants supervisors and operators. In this role you will be exposed to project teams of different Nestlé Business and Development units (such as Nestlé Dairy & Nestlé Nutrition)

A day in the life of a R&D Quality Specialist

  • Communicate to project and pilot plants teams requirements to ensure Quality & Food Safety of our trial productions,
  • Perform release of R&D trials (internal testing, panel, consumer tests…) after verifying the release criteria are met.
  • Ensure requirements of our Quality & Food Safety Management Systems are fulfilled in the production areas in your scope of responsibilities (Dairy/Nutrition)
  • Support compliance activities and actions plans to Nestlé Quality standard applicable for Dairy & Nutrition Pilot Plants
  • Support new and ensure routine update of existing HACCP studies
  • Perform activities such as validation/verification of control measures (CCPs/OPRPs),
  • Performs internal audit programs to verify adherence to our rules (e.g., PRPs)
  • Follow-up of non-conformity in our Dairy & Nutrition Pilot Plants.
  • Gives Quality related trainings to our news comers or annual training sessions

What Will Make You Successful
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Technology specialized in Quality management
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Quality or Food Safety position in food or FMCG factory
  • Strong knowledge in Quality & Food Safety (HACCP, ISO 9001/FSSC 22000 or equivalent IFS/BRC),
  • Good knowledge in food microbiology
  • Fluent in French and English,
  • Good interpersonal/teamwork skills and a good sense of business/technical interrelationships
