Huntsman has an opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated Sales Manager with a background in the specialty chemical sector to take ownership of account management and new business development opportunities for our Power and Electronics team in the DACH region.

Reporting to the Sales Leader Power & Electronics EMEA, this is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the DACH region and to drive the expansion of this market in line with business growth targets.

Additionally, As The Sales Manager, You Will
  • Act as a main customer contact for technical, sales & pricing topics for the entrusted accounts
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of customers across the DACH region ensuring all financial plans are achieved within the agreed commercial growth targets
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships with key customers in Power and Electronics
  • Negotiate sales contracts and terms & conditions according to prices approved by Huntsman and in line with the current regulations and procedures
  • Actively manage credit performance and take corrective action within agreed business guidelines and support the certification and promotion activities
  • Collect market and competitor information and maintain a market review
  • Work in cross-functional projects
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical, Materials Engineering, Chemistry or Mechanical/Electrical engineering
  • Previous experience in a commercial function (marketing, sales and/or technical support) within the specialty chemicals sector
  • Strong communicator with proven business development skills with a passion for identifying new business opportunities
  • Experience and know-how acquired in electricity transmission/distribution equipment manufacturing industry is a major asset but not essential.
  • Entrepreneurial, results driven and autonomous in your approach with strong skills in organization and negotiation
  • Fluent in English and German
