As a fast-growing System Engineering team within Safety Critical Product organization, we are applying our best research and engineering capabilities to new products for which not only positioning performance, but also integrity and safety matters. Nowadays satellite-based positioning technology is widely accepted and integrated within many non-safety-critical tasks in mass-market applications, such as mobile phones and automotive infotainment, and also in some safety-critical tasks within dedicated limited-market applications especially in general aviation. We are pushing the technology further to meet high standards of safety-critical tasks within future automotive mass-market applications aiming to highly automated and autonomous driving.

As a Senior System Engineer for Integrity of Safe Positioning Engine, you are responsible for the integrity and safety of intended function (SOTIF) of Safety Critical Positioning Engine. With your experience and in-depth knowledge in the domain of GNSS navigation, sensor fusion and statistics you are the expert for providing positioning integrity. You are familiar with statistics, applied adjustment theory, Kalman filtering, and variance modeling. Capitalizing on your profound skills in applied statistics and proper validation you efficiently provide technical leadership for a team of motivated engineers to design and implement integrity into the firmware of an embedded GNSS real-time system. You feel responsible for testing, documentation, quality control and maintenance of the source code and you coordinate the support to our application engineers in debugging and providing workarounds of nonconformities. You are able to lead the draft of new technical concepts, evaluate their feasibility and derive specifications. As a member of international multi-site team of specialized system, software and testing engineers you contribute to the next generation of u-blox’s innovative and competitive safe positioning systems.

The role can be located in Thalwil, Switzerland;Tampere/Espoo, Finland or Hannover, Germany
