Position Summary

As a Supply Chain Controller, you will support the Supply Chain Manager as a trusted co-pilot within the Supply Chain leadership team (vision, organization, practices, initiatives/projects…) on a day to day basis as well as on a long-term strategic view. You will provide visibility around costs related to the Supply Chain processes through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting whilst ensuring adherence to financial legal requirements.

A day in the life of a Supply Chain Controller

  • Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in Supply Chain; seek for and support cost improvement opportunities, validate and review proposed savings
  • Coordinate reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close) across Supply Chain; and forecasts across Supply Chain; ensure transparency of this process
  • Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the Supply Chain budget with Supply Chain management and perform revisions or simulations if needed
  • Develop, control and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests
  • Promote clear understanding of financial key figures and costing within Supply Chain, including organizing training sessions for non-specialists
  • Ensure full transparency of costs and financial impact to the organization of strategic Supply Chain decisions
  • Organize internal and external benchmarking of Supply Chain performance
  • Evaluate and provide financial analysis for product sourcing changes
  • Monitor and report stock levels, analyze and assist in determining optimum levels
  • Coordinate and be a key contact for internal and external audits within the Supply Chain area

What Will Make You Successful
  • A Degree in Finance or Supply Chain
  • 5 years of experience in an Accounting / Finance function (e.g.: Costing, Plant controlling, Accounts payable) ideally within a factory or supply chain function
  • Extensive knowledge of costing
  • Good analytical skills using the relevant systems and applications (SAP, MS Office)
  • Fluency in the English and French languages (Verbal & Written)
