What It’s AboutPartners Group is seeking an Infrastructure Business Development Specialist to support EMEA infrastructure fundraising. This role will be based in Zug, Switzerland or London, UK. In this position, you will focus on the following:
  • Product Management: Support and develop the infrastructure platform in close coordination with the EMEA Head of Business Development of Private Infrastructure, and through partnership with the business. Provide ongoing subject matter expertise through knowledge of the product and platform, market trends/direction, and competitive landscape. Develop product specific content/communications, and field complex investor queries.
  • Investor Management: Establish an Investor Relationship Management program based on mapping results and strategic considerations. Push fundamentals for repeat business: from "product push" to "demand pull" and overall relationship value.
  • Project Management: Create and lead the execution of marketing plans, development of marketing materials, and management of the fundraising process for the infrastructure funds and separately managed accounts (as needed).
  • Roadshow Coordination: Lead roadshow campaign management for the infrastructure flagship fund with >400 demands globally. Ensure coordination between Client Solutions and the investment teams and consistent communication.
  • Co-Investment: Support co-investment execution, co-investor prioritization, internal approvals, management of non-discretionary clients, and liaising with Structuring and Transaction Services on vehicle creation and execution. Unlock AUM growth and more meaningful partnerships.
  • Efficiency & Productivity: Support efficiency within Client Solutions, ensuring we avoid duplication of efforts on in-house due diligence preparation, request for proposal reviews, and creation of new materials. Limit the time front office teams spend on internal tasks.
  • Reporting: Provide comprehensive reporting and live updates to management and the sales team, monitoring the timeline and execution of the fundraise including LP demand books, detailed contact reporting with next steps, forward roadshow calendar, data room access reporting, due diligence tracker, co-investment lists, etc.
  • LP Engagement & Support: Engage directly with LPs on fundraising tasks (e.g. due diligence follow-ups), ensuring timeliness and quality of replies.
  • Special Projects: Drive initiatives related to client/investor events including due diligence days, business line meeting updates, annual general meeting, off-sites, and recruiting.
  • Marketing & Media: Coordinate industry event sponsorship, media exposure, Q&A, contribute to further establish PG’s image in EMEA private infrastructure.
What We ExpectThe successful person for this role should have the following:
  • Education: Relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g. finance, economics or business-related, engineering).
  • Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience (e.g. private markets / private infrastructure, investment banking, placement agent, consulting).
  • Financial Literacy: Understands the dynamics of private markets investing and specifically infrastructure; including value drivers, financial, operational, and technical processes.
  • Technical Competences: Expert-level proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to analyze, communicate, and synthesize complex information. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter: Anticipates and executes value-add activities with minimal supervision, as well communicates and works effectively within an international / dispersed team
  • Insights: Provides market insights and analyzes competitor research; creates well-qualified LP target lists, marketing strategies, and external messaging.
  • Effectiveness: Persuasive with the sales team to maximize output during a fundraise.
  • Client-ready: Assists with building and managing LP relationships that require high-touch interactions, as well as any strategic clients who require significant in-house support.
  • Team spirit: Develops and establishes strong bonds across the firm.
