Job Description:

AWS Tech Lead / Tech PO - AWS Core

The Technical Product Owner should be the manager of the product lifecycle, encompassing the big picture (from the moment the product initiative is requested, to the iteration, delivery, and retirement).

The main role and priority of the TPO should be to define the vision of the product. The TPO should use a high-level perspective to define the goals and create a vision for the development project, being responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board, as well as customers and business managers.

The TPO should oversee and priority the product backlog, and the construction of the associated user stories, as well as success metrics. The TPO is responsible to create the list of backlog items and prioritize them based on the overall business strategy.

The TPO is accountable for identifying the issues the team needs to solve, elaborating the problem, and making decisions, be them technical or business-facing.

The TPO is responsible for the development and management of the product plans, success measures, templates, standards, and tools against agreed KPIs.

The TPO is responsible for delivering against the defined project outcomes and estimates.

The TPO should have superb communication and mentoring skills, as well as good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, constructive feedback, and growing transparency.

The TPO should be able to build a good personal relationship with the team, and to be able to “read the situation” in the daily encounters with different teams.

The TPO should have a good understanding of Agile/Kandan or SAFe.
