Lonza in Visp is looking for a Trainee (m/f/d) for Commissioning and Qualification within our SGIE organization (Strategic Growth and Investment Engineering). This Trainee Position combines in-depth training and skills development with exposure to various aspects of Lonzas Strategic Growth Projects & Global Engineering in the environment Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q).
During two years the Trainee will gain a broad perspective within SGIE. The assignment of responsibilities and projects depends on current business needs and on the Trainee’s skills and interests.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the Kneat (CQV Paperless Execution) System implementation with respect to:

    • New Letter Development and Site information

    • Supporting Projects for C&Q Document Transfer

    • Supporting dedicated projects

      • Mapping

      • C&Q

      • Templates

      • Training

    • Supports project monitoring on performance and delivery

    • Support problem solving activities by developing options and prepare decisions matrix (pros and cons)

  • Supports Training activities

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification and automation in the respective project. Drive “share & reapply” of best practices.

  • Cooperate closely with peers from the network or other stakeholders in several areas of Project Engineering management in a collaborating setting.

  • Act as key member in cross functional technical project teams (C&Q, Operations, Engineering)

  • Issue, review or approve project related documents

  • Participate and support regulatory inspections and customer audit

Key requirements:

  • Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc. or equivalent in Engineering/Life Sciences, Materials Science or similar

  • Familiarity with process equipment and GMP biomanufacturing environment and requirements is an advantage

  • Familiar with MS-365 and related APPs (e.g., Excel, Word, Visio, Forms, Teams)

  • Good Quality Mindset (GMP, RFT, OTIF)

  • Fluency in English is a must have, German preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical data and design experiments

  • Project management skills.
