  • implement enterprise process management methods, standards, and guidelines
  • develop front to back process maps and document key issues contributing to process inefficiencies
  • conduct requirements gathering by leveraging internal data sources, conducting stakeholder interviews and evaluate a wide range of data channels
  • quantify cost and effort associated with providing select services to our internal consumers
  • synthesize disparate data sources to create full F2B view of life cycle events
  • optimize strategic process management tools and monitor / escalate where gaps or compliance issues exist
  • assist in project management, preparation of updates and tracking benefits delivered by the program

Your team

We are Shared Services Operations Reconciliation & Data Integrity Team aka “GRU” and we support the verification of UBS books and records, by reconciling internally held data against external data sources (agent banks, custodians, exchanges) and reconciling data between UBS internal systems (e.g., Front Office vs Back Office).

Specifically for this role, you’ll be joining the Functional Management team, a fast-growing team within the Global Reconciliation Utility (GRU) in Switzerland. Our role is to streamline and standardize processes, remove layers of complexity and develop and facilitate sharing of institutional knowledge of F2B processes. We are tasked to propose and implement tactical and strategic solutions for business challenges identified.

As a Business Process Analyst in the team, you’ll play an important role in helping deliver process transformation and efficiency for GRU and its clients.

Your expertise

  • 2-3 years of control, data and business analysis experience in a large complex firm
  • functional knowledge in Operations is preferred e.g. Trade Lifecycle Management, Corporate Actions, Payments & Settlements
  • strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills with a passion for data analysis, new ways of working and transformation
  • proven ability to handle multiple projects and manage conflicting priorities with a can-do attitude
  • awareness of process management standards and improvement / design methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma and Agile; experience or interest in process modelling & architecture and digital transformation / process management tools such as BPMN 2.0, Alteryx, VBA, Python is a plus
  • a strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels and fluent in English
  • able to apply technical understanding to practical problems, a self-starter, willing to take on responsibility
  • highly organized and comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with an innate sense of how to prioritize
