For our current customer project in the German speaking region we are looking for a qualified, experienced and dedicated Functional Safety Engineer.

Your role

  • Participation in the development of a novel functional safety concept for a distributed system in collaboration with system, hardware and software teams
  • Specification of all safety requirements and tests, document for application to a notified body for approval.
  • Contribution to the implementation of security software written in C/C++; knowledge of Python would be an advantage
  • Cooperation with teammates on-site and remotely (if code reviews are required)
  • Supplementation and support of the software test framework or expplication of field buses and protocols
  • Use of software state of the art development tools such as Git and JIRA

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science
  • Enough experience in developing and maintaining functional safety devices
  • Implemented and applied lightweight documentation procedures during development
  • Experience with software testing and frameworks or in field buses and established protocols
  • Understanding of design and analysis of real-time and embedded systems
  • Team player with good analytical skills and open-minded for new technologies
  • Strong knowledge in Scrum/Kanban
  • Fluent in English
