Are you a highly motivated, analytically thinking, self-driven person team player, who has excellent communication skills? Then you will be the perfect fit for the position of the Fundamental Risk Analyst! In this role, you will analyze the European power and gas markets and you will be in charge of many other exciting tasks!
- You will be responsible for the analysis of the European and Asian power and gas markets on the basis of fundamental drivers using sophisticated forecasting methods
- Observing and exploring the impact of green energy transition on energy market economics
- Maintaining and advancing models to forecast impact of renewable power generation (e.g. wind and solar) onto capture prices (cannibalization)
- Following regulatory developments and analyze effect on green certificate trading schemes
- You will become a subject matter expert in cannibalization effect and serve as a sparring partner to originators, traders, researchers and management
- University degree in Economics with focus on analytics
- Several years of experience working as a fundamental market analyst for European commodity markets and experience of fundamental analysis in power, gas and ETS in Asia and Australasia would be a strong advantage.
- Profound understanding of energy markets and its fundamental drivers across Europe
- In depth understanding of political development concerning potential installed renewable capacity across Europe
- Strong analytical and programming skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in English, other languages are welcome
