Novo Nordisk International Operations, Strategic Operations (IO-SO), is head quartered in Zürich, Switzerland. The position directly reports to the Vice President IO Future Portfolio Strategy & Market Access and sits in a newly established strategic Market Access and Commercial group, responsible for existing pipeline as well as future assets.

The position

The Future Portfolio Strategy and Market Access Director is a hybrid position, responsible for pipeline pricing and market access activities in addition to commercial new product planning. You will join a newly established network of passionate functional and cross-functional colleagues, dedicated to building up CVD as a new disease area across Novo Nordisk value chain.

Furthermore:

• To ensure success in building up CVD as a new disease area, it is expected that the IO Future Portfolio Strategy and Market Access Director will drive and lead the effort to identify new and innovative approaches, within the space.
• Your entrepreneurial approach, ability to prioritise, and collaborative mindset enables you to play a key role in developing and driving the overall strategic direction for the CVD portfolio as well as support capability building across International operation.
• Due to the diversity of markets and market access landscapes which this position will impact, you will be required assimilate complexity and create solutions which are simple, implementable, and adjustable to allow for a market-fit approach.

Qualifications

• You have a degree in a life science or business-related field in addition to a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, across commercial and market access functions.
• You have ideally gained experience at a local, regional, and global level, and enjoy working in an international and multicultural environment.
• As CVD is a new area for Novo Nordisk, prior experience and expertise in this disease area is required.
• In addition, you have had at least one position where you have been responsible for driving the launch of a new product across a region or multiple geographies, navigating a complex matrix environment.
• Experience supporting the build-up of a new disease area or supporting business development and licencing activities will be beneficial.
