I am currently recruiting a GaN Device Engineer for one of my clients based in Switzerland.

The GaN Device Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of future generation Power Device products. This role will involve using TCAD software (Technology Computer-Aided Design) to create simulations to develop and optimise semiconductor process technologies and devices.

Responsibilities of the role
  • Design using TCAD from idea to the simulation of the device
  • Understand the fundamental device physics and architecture of SiC or GaN technology
  • Interaction with production and development teams
  • Innovate and provide technical expertise
  • Debug device-related issues and propose a solution
  • Understand fundamental requirements for device
  • Stakeholder engagement
The successful candidates will have a degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics or a similar discipline with a proven background in the following:
  • Experience in TCAD and layout tools
  • Understanding of device physics, structure, electrical operations, fab process & packaging of power technologies
  • Understanding of device analysis, failure analysis
  • Understanding the challenges of developing Power Devices.
  • Support the planning, organising and controlling of projects adhering to plans and budgets, as well as reporting on progress
  • Collaboration with others, either in an immediate team or outside R&D
