Hosco Talent Search has been retained to recruit a General Manager for a 4 stars hotel located in a famous ski resort in the Swiss Alps (Grisons)
The hotel will be open in December 2022 and will be a beautiful 4 stars hotel: 150 rooms, 2 restaurants, 2 bars, a beautiful panoramic terrace, a spa with pool and large meeting facilities + kids club
As a General Manager together with the Management Company you will manage the construction / project phase (approx 6 months) and then manage daily operations to achieve ongoing profitability of your hotel while maintain standards for guest satisfaction, quality assurance and asset protections. You will also be responsible to provide leadership, training, direction and support to hotel employees. The HQ will provide support in Finance, HR and PR.
With a strong background in F&B, managing a team of 60 employees, the General Manager will be someone who truly enjoy operations and someone willing to integrate into the local community. Our candidate will also bring experience in revenue management and be a natural salesperson.

Some of the responsibilities will include:
  • P&L responsibility
  • Operations Management (Rooms & F&B)
  • Responsible for the security of the hotel, staff, and customers (hygiene, personal safety and the environment).
  • Human resources management (recruitment, training, development, evaluation, talent management) and monitoring.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction and quality management.
  • Sales and revenue management
  • Administrative management (analysis, reports, investment, accounting, banking).
  • Purchase management. - Ability to work and live in a ski resort
  • Extensive experience in a leadership role within a similar product in a mountain resort
  • Experience working for a lifestyle brand and ability to represent such a brand
  • Experience in hotel renovation, hotel opening a plus
  • Extensive hotel operations experience (rooms division, RM, Sales, F&B)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls
  • Experience in managing a hotel property while under renovation
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must have good analytical and financial skills as well decision-making ability
  • Must be able to work independently and multi-task, prioritizing as appropriate
  • Business accurate, finance and results oriented
  • Must have a knowledge of a variety of computer software applications
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and in stressful situations
  • Must be flexible in work hours / days especially in high season
  • Must have effective oral and written communications skills in English & German, another language such as French or Italian is a plus
