Job Description

The Global Business Manager will be responsible for the international sales and business development activity of our fumigation services portfolio. SGS provides fumigation and pest control services to the trade and commodities sectors. Our fumigation services help our clients prevent insect related risks and damage during the transportation and storage of commodities. We perform fumigation services – including the treatment of cargoes loaded into sea-going vessels, barges and containers – in ports and logistics centres worldwide

You Will
  • Identify existing and future market activities and approach product sector customers and potential clients;
  • Actively promote the image, capability and integrity of the company to our client base;
  • Continually strive to find new and improve ways of delivering service to the customer base;
  • Project manage new and existing clients that require improved or customized services.
  • Work closely with internal SGS stakeholders to provide consistent delivery of services across the product lines and regions;
  • Create and maintain a Fumigation and Treatments Centre of Excellence regarding service delivery and systems required internationally;
  • Identify geographic services gaps and work with SGS stakeholders teams to find new opportunities and implement our service portfolio;
  • Provide customized services as may be required and act as a troubleshooter and problem solver.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in a commercial fumigation, inspection or testing environment;
  • Technical knowledge of fumigation applications and their use within with the logistics, agriculture and commodity sectors;
  • Proven experience of leading service delivery teams within an international setting;
  • Able to lead and influence Sales and Business Development activity;
  • Fluent in English.

Additional Information

We are able to base this position remotely in Europe.
