You will be working as a Global Category manager of and will be reporting to the Division SCM manager, MOLM. You will be developing, planning, and implementing category strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for Bearings for Large Motors and Generators and IEC Low Voltage (LV) Motors divisions.

Your responsibilities

• Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process, implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with the business strategy, ensuring that the supplier base / suppliers have the capability and capacity for meeting current and future business requirements.
• Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts and minimizing risk regarding quality and financial exposure by utilizing quality and commercial procedures, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Negotiating agreements and price lists with suppliers, and periodically reviews price lists, terms and conditions and designing and implementing cost-out programs and/or processes to reach financial targets.
• Negotiating and managing frame agreements and other contracts with the suppliers and ensuring identification, investigation and selection of appropriate suppliers in accordance with company policies.
• Applying and implementing SCM standards, tools and processes focused on business continuity for the assigned categories.
• Contributing and participating in setting and implementing the budget and targets within the framework and ensuring the category sourcing performance targets are achieved.
• Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed and guiding, motivating and developing category team members within HR policies and Group Procurement and Logistics excellence guidelines

Your background

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and capacity
• Develop the supplier portfolio and relationships to secure the supply of components
• Ensure that suppliers can meet current and future business requirements,
• Manage the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets and quality and delivery reliability
• Negotiate framework agreements, price lists and terms and conditions with suppliers
• Contributing to and participating in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework, and ensuring that sourcing performance targets are achieved
• Ability to work in matrix organization and units with diverse structure
• Strong leadership skills
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in relevant course, Master is an advantage
