Job ID: 36514 | Location: Muttenz, Canton of Basel-Landschaft, SwitzerlandAs Global Demand Planner, you will contribute to the success of our business by leading the development of tactical and strategic demand plans to achieve supply chain, commercial and financial objectives. You will drive global demand planning and forecasting for the segments Personal & Home Care and Crop Solutions. You will actively manage stakeholders, in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to build robust consensus plan that can be used for Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Strategic Planning and decision making.We are looking for a Global Demand Planner located either in Muttenz, Switzerland or in Charlotte (NC), Houston (TX) or New Providence (NJ), USA.Responsibilities
  • Understand the drivers that impact the evolution of demand, including customer inputs, macroeconomic assumption, leading indicators etc.
  • Drive collaboration with Sales and Marketing to incorporate current and long-term market intelligence into the demand plan at product, customer and market levels and to develop, document and update the assumptions supporting the demand plan and development of various scenarios.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Demand Planners to develop robust short and long terms demand plans at various levels of aggregation.
  • Prepare and Facilitate the IBP demand reviews.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and bias, using approaches such as improved Statistical and Probabilistic forecasting.
  • Develop IBP scenarios and align on optimal supply and inventory responses with Supply Planning.
  • Challenge the sales and marketing assumptions/forecast to drive improved consensus and accuracy.
  • Monitor the demand plan performance (forecast error, accuracy, bias) by measuring actual versus planned performance at multiple planning levels and work with collaborators to improve.
  • Consolidate the regional demand forecasts into global demand plan scenarios, including demand drivers and probability factors feeding the IBP planning process.
  • Aggregate all sources of demand including external sales, internal use, interplant and interregional demand for the integrated supply chain of products with differentiated level of detail for long and short term planning horizons.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve forecast accuracy. Work with Marketing and Sales, Strategy, Finance and Digitalization teams to improve inputs to the process.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining the above mentioned processes.
  • Lead supply issue/risk impact management & communication with all stakeholders
  • Oversee and support the execution of product allocation plans.
RequirementsWe are looking for a motivated person with proven experience in demand planning and forecasting in a global footprint environment. Experience in Integrated Business Planning or Advanced S&OP, and in using state of the art planning tools is very valuable.
  • Capability to quickly build an understanding of the market, customers and product portfolio.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization at the appropriate level of detail and complexity.
  • Experience in presenting and group facilitating. Ability to adapt your style to needs of audience.
  • Analytical and conceptual mind.
  • Indirect influencing skills.
  • Medium degree of financial acumen.
  • A good command of English, both written and oral.
  • Self-starter, with high energy to develop and improve with the team.
  • Emotional intelligence. You work with people with different business objectives and agendas every day.
