You as a Global BU Sales & Marketing Manager, will be part of Power Grids business (location: Europe or Middle East). Reporting to the Global Business Unit Managing Director, you are accountable for defining and implementing the global sales and marketing strategies; ensuring that the specific Division/Business Unit substantially increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for creating, planning, and implementing the marketing and sales mission, vision, and strategy for the defined area globally, as well as budget and efficiency targets.
  • You grow the definition of the Global Business Unit footprint (market presence, execution standards and delivery model).
  • You define key marketing and sales targets and establish appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance, anticipate results and identify gaps in order to take early remedial action and ensure these targets are achieved in the global markets.
  • You drive the growth of the top line in each market.
  • You are responsible for achieving assigned order intake, margin, and related goals for the entire product portfolio globally.
  • You drive evaluation of potential new and existing markets and their needs and ensure proactive sales approach with a focus on solutions.
  • You oversee market, market research and market segment definition activities and ensure the market is well monitored by developing, maintaining and effective usage of efficient marketing and sales tools.
  • You develop relationships with key stake holders and are responsible for planning and implementing customer surveys and acting on the results in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • You oversee the global teams that identify, monitor, and maintain/exceed the sales market price levels, evaluating with Product Management pricing impact on the results and support local Sales organizations to ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets.
  • You ensure processes established to proactively identify and manage risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/channels.
  • You develop, implement and review sales processes and related tools, and all relevant training and development plans, actions, and programs.
  • You ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed and coach, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates.

Your background

  • University and Masters’ Degree, MBA preferred, business experience in Sales & Marketing, P&L and related areas in an industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership with 15+ years’ experience in directly managing Marketing and Sales Organizations in international level
  • Very good understanding of marketing processes, customers, competition, offering and capabilities.
  • Proven track record in the execution of defined strategic initiatives. Proven experience in driving transformations for complex global organizations.
  • Very good understanding of Power Grids in markets’ customers, competition, offering and capabilities.
  • Product knowledge and technical know-how is preferred.
  • Structured approach to problem solving paired with a highly proactive and result-driven attitude.
  • Excellent influencing, communication and collaboration skills matured in an international, matrixed organization.
