Global Head Skills Transformation & EdTech

Key Responsibilities

The J&J MedTech Global Head of Skills Transformation & EdTech position is a global role, which can be based at any of the J&J Institute locations, worldwide. This position is a critical leadership role that will lead, shape, and implement the global agenda to train and develop the commercial staff of J&J MedTech worldwide, in key strategic, cross-franchise skills. These curricula include selling skills (basic/advanced), negotiation skills, marketing (big picture), launch excellence (LEX), and digital skills. Moreover, the leader in this position will need to develop the future roadmap of new skills required to empower the J&J MedTech business transformation of the future and enable our commercial organization to stay industry-benchmark in the future. These future abilities required, include capital selling, service selling, value partnership development, and general digital skills.

In addition, the Global Head is responsible for the central development, central processing and innovation of the enabling Education Technologies (EdTech) that enables global, regional and local new learning channels across different franchises. This central EdTech hub centralizes the management of JJI.com, Virtual Reality, Remote learning technologies, telementoring systems and partnerships with external online learning platforms for HCP’s.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities Include
  • Attracting, developing & retaining a diverse pool of talent with new EdTech know-how, instructional design and external L&D experience.
  • Prioritizing new digital, personalized learning experiences to support J&J new robotics & digital surgery portfolio (e.g., Velys, Monarch).
  • Creating and leading a global governance team for strategic skills L&D and EdTech
  • Actively searching for “outside-in” input from external L&D experts, new technology players, academics, and innovation platforms
  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel is required

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent is required; MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Educational background in learning & development / organizational change management is a plus
  • 15+ Years of experience in the areas of learning/education, marketing and/or sales is required.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of people leadership experience is required.
  • Experience in the medical devices or healthcare technology business environment is an asset
  • Experience in a large multi-national corporation, in roles with a global scope or matrix management required
  • Outcomes-driven innovator with a passion for upskilling the workforce
  • Savviness and base know-how for technology and digital innovation is key
  • Strong transformation, change management, change leadership, influencing, and collaboration skills including an ability to bring people together to see different perspectives and align on a strategy.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make the complex simple.
  • Proven ability to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of current thinking and lead through constructive conflict.
  • Proven track record of influencing and partnering with diverse multi-functional and global teams
  • Collaborative and consultative mindset, with the capacity to adapt style to fit various stakeholder personalities (cross-cultural)
  • Open to others’ opinions. Candid. Willing to engage in debate
  • Values and enjoys situations that require change and transformation
  • Aspires to move into business and commercial leadership roles
  • Proficient digital literacy with high-level of knowledge of the latest digital omnichannel technology, new media, social media and digital channel innovation
