This role will play an integral part in helping the team to deliver on the Global Talent, Learning & Development strategy.The Global Learning & Development Coordinator will be responsible for the development and management of the new Learning Management System and our “South Pole Academy” from a coordination perspective. You will be taking a strategic approach on training evaluation, data analytics and insights from the platform.This is a newly designed position allowing you to build the blueprint of our role with a large amount of autonomy. Therefore you will be a self-starter, with the ability to guide our global teams on a variety of coordination elements as described belowThe role is quite varied and the ability to take initiative and work with ambiguity is essential.Main tasks & responsibilities:
  • Ensure the effective management of the LMS (South Pole Academy).
  • Liaising with the IT help desk team to resolve technical issues
  • Recording keeping of online courses and learning programmes loaded on the
  • Work with L&D team members and other stakeholders to create and run all training activities for in-person, virtual and online training.
  • Develop metrics to monitor success of the LMS
  • Continually review processes and to simplify our way of working
  • Scheduling and management of in-house and third party classroom and virtual classroom sessions through annual Training Calendar.
  • Maintenance of annual training plan in collaboration with other Talent, L&D colleagues.
  • Coordinate with external parties/suppliers, this includes signing of NDA’s, contracts, scheduling dates and events, booking of venues if required, evaluation feedback and processing of invoices..
  • Ensure course feedback is collated through surveys and feedback passed on to L&D Partners
  • Manage the deployment of online compliance training and produce completion reports when requested.
  • Fully understand the LMS capabilities; stay on top of new updates and functionality and keep the team informed.
  • Manage the LMS client interface to enable effective roll-out of our external client learning programmes.

  • Previous administrative experience.
  • I.T. competent with the ability to use various software packages, such as MS office, to produce. and maintain records, spreadsheets, and data.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, be approachable and supportive.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Good organisation skills.
  • Ability to plan and organise your own workload.
  • An eye for detail whilst being accurate and ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to multi-task.
